With only 17 home games left in the 2008 schedule, the Buffalo Bisons will return home for a six-game homestand, Saturday, August 2 - Thursday, August 7. After hosting their Thruway rival the Syracuse Chiefs for two games, the Herd will welcome in the Indianapolis Indians for a four-game set.

The homestand will begin with a blast, or more like several of them, as the team will hold their annual Home Run Challenge, presented by Anheuser-Busch Adventure Theme Parks, on Saturday August 2. Former Major Leaguers Jack Clark and George Foster will face current Bisons players in a post-game home run derby with prizes given out to the fans after every long ball. One fan will even go home with a Nintendo Wii gaming system. A post-game Fireworks Show will conclude the event.

Sunday, August 3 will be Hall of Fame Day as former Bisons Dave Clark and Brian Graham will be inducted to the Buffalo Baseball Hall of Fame pre game. There will also be a special ceremony to honor the legendary Luke Easter, who was inducted into the International League Hall of Fame.

Also mark your calendars for Polish Festival Night on Tuesday, August 5, sponsored by WNY Buick, Pontiac and GMC Dealers, with pre game tent party and post game Pyrotechnics, presented by HSBC Bank USA, N.A. Wednesday, August 6 will be the Bisons annual Bobble Head Giveaway, presented by NAPA Auto Parts. This year, former catcher/first baseman Ryan Garko is featured.
