February 20, 2011 - The New York Mets today announced that they have signed OF JESUS FELICIANO to a minor league deal. The Bisons' major league affiliate also announced that INF CHRIS SHELTON and RHP KENT TSUJIMOTO have been signed to minor league deals.

Feliciano, 31, has played more games during the Bisons-Mets affiliation than any other player (219). The 2009 Bisons Most Valuable Player has hit .323 (268-831) in his two years with the Herd, the second-highest average in the team's Modern Era. The outfielder led the International League with 154 hits during the 2009 campaign and posted a .339 (114-336) average during the 2010 season that fell just 20 points shy of qualifying as the IL's second highest mark. In two seasons, Feliciano has also compiled 112 runs scored, 48 doubles, 70RBI and 19 stolen bases with Buffalo.

Feliciano also received the 2010 Jimmy Griffin Hometown Hero award for his excellence during home games. In two years, Feliciano has averaged .333 (132-396) at Coca-Cola Field.

Shelton, 30, spent the 2010 season in Houston's organization. Playing primarily for Triple-A Round Rock of the Pacific Coast League, the 6-0, 215-pounder hit 10 home runs and drove in 42 in 82 games. He last appeared in the major leagues in 2009 with Seattle.

Tsujimoto, 22, pitched last season with Maui of the Independent Golden League. The 6-1, 180-pounder went 3-2 with a 2.88 ERA in 34.1 innings, 32 games. He struck out 48 and walked 13.
