Mets Re-assign Lefty O'Connor
Southpaw was 5-2 with Herd last season

The New York Mets today announced that they have re-assigned LHP MIKE O'CONNOR to minor league camp.

This spring, O'Connor posted a 5.79ERA in seven appearances for the Mets (4.2IP, 7H, 3ER). He struck out five batters and walked just one.
O'Connor spent the entire 2010 season in the Bisons bullpen and made a team-high 51 appearances. The southpaw was 5-2 with a 2.67ERA and 70 strikeouts in only 70.2 innings of work. O'Connor only walked 17 batters all season and yielded just a .246 average against.
